After a decade-long tribute project, Dutch graffiti writer Tripl is unveiling his book Repainting Subway Art — a meticulous recreation of every single photo from the iconic 1984 book Subway Art.
Tripl not only repainted the legendary train pieces with his own name in the original styles and colors, but also recreated entire scenes, down to vintage outfits and character poses, honoring the legacy with precision and passion.
The U.S. launch happens tomorrow evening at the Museum of the City of New York. Join Henry Chalfant, Crash, Tripl, and host Martha Cooper for a special panel moderated by graffiti artist and scholar Edward Birzin.
