Alex Yanes Unveils Bold Tropical Sculptures

Alex Yanes, the Miami-born artist known for his Cuban heritage and skateboarding influences, continues to captivate the contemporary art scene with his vibrant three-dimensional creations. His latest series of tropical-inspired sculptures is a celebration of color, energy, and cultural storytelling, crafted from hand-cut wood, resin, enamel, and acrylic.

These sculptural pieces feel alive with movement. Tropical birds, vivid florals, and even a shark motif emerge from layered surfaces that draw the viewer in. One notable work, «Tropical Tiburón,» shaped like a shark and filled with sunset colors and palm silhouettes, stands as both an artistic tribute to marine life and a personal reflection on nature’s beauty.

Yanes’s artistic reach spans from murals in Miami’s Wynwood district to collaborations with global brands like Adidas, Red Bull, and Vans. Yet his heart remains in his community, where he continues to create art for public spaces, hospitals, and educational programs.

With this new body of work, Alex Yanes reminds us that street art is not confined to walls. It lives in sculpture, color, and the shared warmth of cultural expression.
