Brooklyn, NY — Hip-hop legend and lyrical pioneer Rakim is set to headline the 14th Annual Bushwick Collective Block Party, happening Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 15 Scott Avenue in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The Bushwick Collective Block Party is one of New York City’s most iconic celebrations of street art and urban culture. Each year, the event brings together world-renowned graffiti artists, DJs, MCs, and thousands of art lovers for a full day of live painting, music, and community.
Founded in 2012, the Bushwick Collective has transformed the neighborhood into an open-air gallery, attracting street art legends and newcomers alike. The annual block party serves as its flagship event, blending visual art with hip-hop culture and community spirit.
This year’s lineup is led by Rakim, widely considered one of the greatest MCs of all time, known for revolutionizing rap lyricism as one half of the iconic duo Eric B. & Rakim. Joining him is acclaimed producer and DJ Statik Selektah, with more performers to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.
Previous editions have featured performances by Ice-T, Ghostface Killah, KRS-One, and DMC, solidifying the block party’s reputation as a cultural cornerstone for hip-hop and street art fans.
